Sweet Berries Cafe is located in the heart of Homer, Alaska in one of the oldest buildings. Sweet Berries was started by Marsha Ruggley in 2005 inside a small cabin with only 4 tables. It had been a small "locals secret" for the first few years in business, always providing the freshest ingredients to the favorite soups, salads and sandwiches. In 2007 it was sold to Nancy Deaver who has maintained the original quality and enhanced the menu, leaving most of the original items, yet adding a few of her own. By 2008, Nancy expanded and relocated the cafe to the Walle Building or the Main Street Merchantile. The combination of gifts and good quality food is outstanding. Come take a look at the memoribilia wall and learn all about the building or stop in for some breakfast and hear the stories as our "ole time" locals reminise during their meal.
